Triple Digits

Maybe it was booking it after the long up on the gully hill ...

Or maybe it was as we cruised past the Tamarack in its fall glory.
Perhaps it was as we popped out onto the fields,

Or perhaps it was in the trails near hunters camp

Reaching the 100 mile mark always seems to mark the start of the real season for me. I am sure that if I was a big race team 100 miles would feel insignificant, but for a little light weight team like mine, it feels good. The dogs have lost their summer laziness, they lost some weight, and now are putting it back on, bulking up with muscle.
Somewhere, perhaps on the Cougar Loop, or the Road to Nowhere, or deep in the Canal trails this weekend that training odometer clicked over to triple digits, and the season ahead is looking mighty fine!

  1. Congratulations on a terrific milestone early in the season. We are still running lazy short runs.
