Two Minutes of Silence

"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion." So says the Dalai Lama

Today, on this day of Remembrance I thought of these words.
Compassion is usually defined as a deep awareness of and sympathy for another's suffering. But in thinking about this concept of compassion I dug a little deeper and came across a more holistic approach that defined compassion as 'understanding without judgement'.
Remarkable.
Attainable? Perhaps we should take a page or two from those canines that share our lives.

"the future is unwritten" (Joe Strummer) That one is up to us. Whether it be in our day to day lives, or globally, our actions write the future.
