Living at the edge of urban sprawl the dogs rarely get to raise their voices in song. I silence that song when it starts, for the sake of neighbours. It is something I hate, silencing that song. But when we are hanging out in the mushers camp, the song is welcome, and the song of 50-60 dogs is something magical indeed. Surrounded by the dimension of that song, I simply couldn't help myself, and I too threw back my head, sang right along with them, and it was good.
